I moved to a new state

and it took a while but I've hit this sad realization of everything that I really left behind when I left, and how I could have done so much more to try and get to know the people I knew better. Being in a new school, everything is a blur, and day after day goes by and nothing really stands out for me. Nothing very funny, nothing very heartwarming. It all simply is. I never knew how much I took for granted being able to say hi to people every day in school and actually know their name, and be able to make small talk in between classes, or even during class. It is just really wearing me away knowing I could have done so much more.

So I'm bad at this blogging thing.

Yeah, surprise surprise. Way for me to totally keep this thing updated. I guess my life isn't that interesting anyways!

So

My solo project has finally arrived. I'm starting to write some songs and record some demos, so I figured I might as well put them out there so they can be enjoyed. I'll also be posting full-instrumentation covers of songs by The Cure, Joy Division, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and more.

Hmm

When I post covers on youtube, people always complain "Why don't you smile in your videos?" or "You look bored". Well, it's kinda hard (and pointless) to hold a picture perfect smile while playing a cover. Plus I'd look plain stupid as if I was looking for attention (*cough* video "Girl guitarist plays Santana"*cough*).

The Cure has never been the happiest of bands anyways. I don't see why I should act like a smug "rawk StAr" and smile to please everybody. I'm trying to avoid that kind of materialistic shallow stuff in the first place...
